Athanasios Kalogeras

Athanasios Kaloegras (SM’18), received Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece. He has been with the Industrial Systems Institute of the ATHENA Research and Innovation Center since 2000, where he currently holds the position of Research Director. He has been employed as a collaborating researcher at the University of Patras, the Computer Technology Institute and Press DIOPHANTUS and the private sector. He has been an adjunct faculty member at the Technological Educational Foundation of Patras. His research interests include cyber physical systems, industrial internet of things, industrial integration and interoperability, collaborative manufacturing. Application areas include the manufacturing environment, critical infrastructure protection, smart buildings, smart cities, smart energy, tourism and culture. He has served as program committee member in more than 30 conferences and as a reviewer in more than 40 international journals and conferences. He is local editor in Greece of ERCIM News. He is a member of the Board of Directors of AgriFood Western Greece since 2019. He has been a postgraduate scholar of the Bodosakis Foundation. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
